On 1 December, Pelle Kongo joined the Management Board of Mobire Eesti AS. Kongo has widespread experience in the car rental industry, and he will be responsible for developing Mobire’s new business line in all three Baltic countries.

Andrus Valma, CEO of Mobire Group, stated they are delighted that Pelle Kongo with his extensive car rental industry experience has taken up a role on the Management Board of Mobire Eesti AS.

“Pelle Kongo joining the Mobire Eesti team is an important milestone for us. His knowledge and experience as a trusted specialist in the field of car rental will be of great benefit as we develop a new short-term vehicle rental business line throughout the Baltic states. We are certainly at the beginning of an exciting yet challenging phase of development,” said Valma.

Pelle Kongo is a high-profile business manager with extensive experience in the field of car rental. He has previously held the position of CEO of the Estonian representative office of the international rental company Hertz. At Hertz Estonia, his responsibilities included daily operations, short- and long-time planning, brand management, customer service quality, and sales and revenue management strategies. Kongo holds a master’s degree in International Economics and Economic Policy from University of Tartu.

“Mobire is definitely one of the most dynamic companies in its field, and I’m delighted to be joining a team that understands the technological growth in this area and realises its potential in taking the business to the next level,” said Pelle Kongo, in assuming the role of new Management Board member of Mobire Eesti.

The largest full-service rental company in the Baltics in four years’s time

According to Andrus Valma, Pelle Kongo is joining the company at an extremely interesting time, because the current situation in the vehicle market is extremely advantageous for rental companies – grist to the mill, so to speak. “Consumers are becoming increasingly aware that there are more reasonable alternatives to owning a car. Mobire’s aim is to provide pan-Baltic companies with convenient and trustworthy car rental services, and to become the largest full-service rental company throughout the Baltic states in the next four years. By developing the new business line, we are taking an important step closer to this goal,” the CEO of Mobire Group said.
